Meet your trainer- Paul Holubets, Certified Personal Trainer
I have been a personal trainer for 25 years and absolutely love what I do. I have been blessed to work with clients from all over the world. My passion for fitness started at a young age and I have always been actively involved in sports excelling in Football, Wrestling and Track. My love for sports carried over to coaching, conditioning and implementing youth programs. Mentoring today's kids has been a strong devotion of mine. I love working with individuals and groups of all ages and from all walks of life. I look forward to sharing my outdoor adventure training trips with those fitness minded, bucket list, adventure seekers.
My Specialties include: Personal training, group training, teaching paddle boarding and kayaking, high intensity circuit training, youth training, senior training, and sport specific training. I am a visionary and love to design home gyms and high end community fitness centers.
Acknowledged as one of Los Angeles' most-skilled personal trainers by Los Angeles Magazine and featured in a fitness excerpt on the television program, Extra, Paul uses a combination of knowledge, personal experience, and compassion to give his clients high levels of fitness, motivation, and confidence. Paul is also honored to
have been chosen as Austin’s “Best Personal Trainer” by Austin’s Best of City Search in 2010 and with Austin Awards Program for 2012, 2013 and 2014.
Paul is a nationally certified personal trainer (CPT) with the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). His certifications and specialized courses concentrate in Sports Medicine, Advanced Program Design, Functional Integrated Training, Human Biomechanics and Senior & Youth Exercise Training.
While attending the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, Paul worked for the university as an Exercise Specialist for various collegiate teams, including football, wrestling, and hockey. Before that, he spent many years participating in football, wrestling, track, and body building.
Paul lives his motto: To be a winner, it takes dedication, determination, believing in yourself, and believing in your capabilities! He relocated to California's west coast in 1990 and put his expertise to use by working as a personal trainer, fitness manager, physical therapy aide, and fitness researcher at a local college. His clients range from pre-teen to seniors (ages 7 to 88) – and are from every walk of life. He has trained many of the Los Angeles Lakers’ cheerleaders since 1997, some of Hollywood's elite film producers and many golf professionals.
In 2005, Paul relocated to central Texas and now enjoys his Austin-based personal training program at Rough Hollow Fitness Center, which overlooks beautiful Lake Travis and the Texas Hill Country. He enjoys the mild year-round weather, which helps him vary workouts tremendously. On any given day, he can be seen training
his clients indoors and out, doing boot camps under Rough Hollow’s 4,000 square foot pavilion, or kayaking and stand up paddle boarding on the lake.
Paul also devotes time to his California clients by flying back and doing group trainings, hiking excursions, Outdoor Adventure Training and boot camps on the beach. He even has some of his Texas clients join him on his California outings.
As a side to the training business, Paul also designs in-home gyms and community fitness centers. His 25 years in the fitness industry have been monumental in his design set up, rapport with equipment manufactures and his ability to provide 3D Cad drawings. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, kayaking, mountain biking, and Outdoor Adventure Training. Paul also has a true love for cooking and entertaining.
Paul currently trains in clients’ homes, on location (beaches, parks, etc.), or in the Rough Hollow Fitness Center located at 105 Yacht Club Cove in Lakeway, Texas (just west of Austin).
